75 percent attendance mandatory to appear for the UP Board exams in 2018



From now on 75 percent attendance has been made mandatory by the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad for the students of class 10 and class 12 and those students who will fail to meet the criteria of the attendance will be debarred from the exams. According to the reports, government has taken the decision in order to improve the state of education in the state. In addition to this, all the officials have been directed by the UP Board to inspect the schools on regular basis to make sure that students and teachers are attending the schools on regular basis. A decision to stop the salaries of the school heads, who delay the registration for the board exams till last day has also been taken by the UP board.Last year several headmasters of the schools did not utilize the period of one month for the registering the students for the board exams and when they tried to register during the last minutes, central server faced many technical issues.
