Tamil Nadu’s NEET merit list to be released on Thursday

The Central government told the Supreme Court that it is not the favor of the recent ordinance passed by the Tamil Nadu government and therefore, cannot exempt it from the NEET 2017 exam and therefore, the Directorate of Medical Education is expected to release the merit list and counseling date for the NEET 2017 exam on Thursday at tnhealth.org and tnmedicalselection.org. The apex court told the state to start the counseling process for the admissions based on the merit list of the NEET 2017 exam and not to cause any further delay. The counseling for the NEET 2017 was put on hold by the apex court on August 17 for the medical seats in the state of Tamil Nadu and asked the MCI and state government to find a balanced solution to the resolve the issue.Six students from the state filed a plea in which they sought directions for the state government to conduct the counseling solely on the basis of the merit list based on the NEET entrance exam.
